To create and encourage a confident community in which people feel both safe and valued.
To hold decision makers and those providing services accountable to our community and to promote the devolution of decision making to that community.
SPLASH is working hard towards -
COMMUNITY CARE: Empowering and promoting a caring community
SOCIAL EDUCATION: Encouraging more estate-based education opportunities and
communication within the community itself, going beyond any language and cultural barriers.
ENVIRONMENT: Protecting and promoting clean, green spaces;
encouraging all members of the community to take responsibility for our environment.
HEALTH: Promoting healthy living, including close attention to issues relating to mental and physical wellbeing (including drug & alcohol abuse). Increasing access to public services.
HOUSING: Campaigning to ensure secure, affordable, well managed housing—fit for the 21st Century with overview of "Decent Homes" & Residents needs.
EMPLOYMENT: Organising skill-based training and effective referral to
job opportunities towards fulfilling employment for all.
JUSTICE: By working proactively to promote an equitable society in which injustice has no place.
YOUNG PEOPLE: Enabling young people to access, participate and
contribute creatively to the world in which they live.
FUNDRAISING: Bring resources to benefit the community.
